Wicker umbrellas. How they are done
A skilled hand begins to weave it on a metal skeleton.
At the end, the umbrella hat is "trimmed", that is, the ends of the threads that are too long are cut. Then it is closed with braid or a metal strip is welded on the contour.
As you can see, stacked hats take up very little space.
The umbrella's leg is mounted only when it is fixed on the beach, in its place.

Wicker, salix purpureea, is harvested from the field. tied in bundles and stored.
Little by little, a hat is formed that grows in diameter.
This is how it looks when it is ready to be cleaned.
